Interior Painting Hints

Interior handy hint step #1

  • Take your time.
  • Pick a theme; one that matches your personality and your homes design.
  • Consider big purchase items that may not change like carpet, bench tops, etc
  • Make a list of rooms that you want to paint or wallpaper
  • Write down how you want to feel & what you do in each room
  • Consider flow – a great home feels like a series of dots that connect room to room.

Interior handy hint Step #2

  • Make a scrapbook from interior design magazines – a common colour, texture will emerge.
  • Pick features, areas or dominate spaces in your home that you love.
  • Adjoining rooms and walls can be connected by a feature wall – consider flow from room to room.
  • Pick out the features you like the least – we can disguise these by using continuous colour.
  • Pick a combination of paint colours and wall papers that you instantly love.
  • These may become a feature wall or the colour of a cushion on your couch.
  • Using your theme, a progression of paint colours and papers take one common colour and let it flow into every space in your home.

Interior handy hint Step #3

  • Include your test pot colours in your price quote request, once you’re booked we’ll pick them up, deliver and paint on your walls.
  • Live with your colour and wall paper choices.
  • Monitor how these colours make you feel – relaxed, at peace, excited, energetic?
  • Make sure your colours resonate with you and how you want to feel in each room.
